When I opened my fridge this morning, I saw various kinds of jams and I just noticed that each one of us at home has different kinds of favorite jam. Hmmm I’m pretty sure that you have the same case at your home too, rite?
Well… talking about jams, now we can see lots and lots of variations and brands are available in supermarket. Who don’t know the famous Ovomaltine? People said its so delicious and even it beats the taste of Nutella( everyone’s fav). Says who? Well, some people said Nutella is way better than Ovo, or Hersey better? I don’t know either because for me, all of them taste the same. It’s just chocolate which is turned into a jam, anyway! Ehhmm to be honest, I haven’t tried how delicious the Ovomaltine is but I believe it won’t have a big difference with Nutella or Hersey or the other brand.
By saying that, do you notice that I’m actually not into chocolatte when choosing a spread for bread? Yes of course, I’m not really a fan of choclatte when choosing a jam. Because if I do, then maybe I have bought it in Duta buah with a very unrealistic price. MAN! Remember the first time they sell it in online shop? More than 100 thousand rups and now guess how much are they? Some sell 50 thousand and some sell 60 and yet I haven’t bought one of them.
So here are our favorite jam at home:
Uppa: He prefers fruit jam like : strawberry, blueberry and pineapple while I hate them so much. Yes I really don’t like strawberry, pinapple and bluberry jam. Ok, yes I have tried my best to lick it sometimes but they are still my least favorite jam.
My kids : Both of them love choclatte of course and kk G started to love strawberry jam like her dad.
Me: hmmm me? I am more into peanut butter, yes I love peanut so much. SKIPPY is my favorite. Yes skippy is so perfect on my bread until Nissa sent me a very yummy Cinnaamon Spice (peanut spread from Kraft). OMG! I love it so much. Thank you Niss, for bringing them all the way from Aussie (Nissa opened PO for this a month ago). This is a delicious combination of roasted peanuts blended with real crushed cinnamon. Hmmmmmm so yummmm! *OMG, I am imagining it now* I love peanut and I love cinnamon and they mixed it together. What a brilliant idea!
Besides peanut, I am also a fan of Srikaya Jam. So far, the best srikaya jam is from North Sumatera (Medan) but since its impossible to get it for my daily jam, so Holland Bakery gives me solution. Have you tried their srikaya jam? Ohhh it is so good and the taste is as yummy as the one in Medan. The other important thing about this jam is, the price is so affordable only 19 thousand rupiahs for the big jar. Wowwww! Nice offer isn’t it? Unfortunately most of the times they lack of stocks and the jam cannot be kept for more than 2 weeks. But that is the good thing right? Most probably no preservative added here.
So, what is your favorite jam?
